Please read the terms and conditions carefully before ordering.
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Painting work is carried out by Paint it Black Koristemaalaus (business ID 2443415-3, Kovik byväg 47, 66600 Vöyri, Finland).

2. ORDERING
Painting work is agreed upon by email. The person ordering the painting work must be at least 18 years of age.
Reservation fee: The order is confirmed by paying a reservation fee of €50. The reservation fee will be credited towards the price of the painting work. After the reservation fee has been paid, a time slot for the painting work will be reserved in the order calendar and the design process can begin.
Design: The design will take the customer's wishes into account as far as possible. A draft design will be sent to your email address within three weeks. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully review the design draft and notify us of any corrections before painting begins. The design can be modified according to the customer's wishes until painting begins.
The design is intended for use in the painting carried out by Paint it black for you. It may not be shared or used for any other purpose. If you wish, you can purchase the design for further use as a PDF file for an additional fee of €150.
3. PAINTING WORK
Painting prices: Indicative price lists can be found on our website. However, each painting job is unique, so a more accurate price is always agreed separately.
Processing time: Delivery time varies depending on the season, ranging from 2 to 12 weeks.
Providing billing and delivery addresses: The customer's contact and billing information must be provided before the painting work can begin. The customer must be at least 18 years of age. When you place an order, your order details will be added to our customer register. Paint it black treats all customer information as strictly confidential and uses it only for the purpose of delivering the order and invoicing. The customer agrees to the delivery terms and conditions in force at the time of each order.
Please note: Painting work cannot begin if billing information is missing.
Design approval: Before painting begins, the customer approves the design to be implemented. The painting work follows the plan as closely as possible. Please note, however, that transferring a two-dimensional model to the shape of a helmet always requires adaptation, and that the colors in the model image may appear different when viewed on different screens. Unfortunately, we are unable to send photos of unfinished work unless there is a specific need to do so.
Helmet to be painted: The customer is responsible for delivering the helmet to be painted to Paint it black. The helmet can be sent or brought to our office at a pre-arranged time. The helmet to be painted can be new or used. However, used helmets must be in good condition, undamaged, and cleaned of dirt. Alternatively, you can purchase a new helmet from our selection, in which case we will order your helmet directly from the importer for painting.
Once the painting work is complete, you will receive photos of it by email.
4. PAYMENT TERMS
Billing address: The customer must provide a billing address and payment method before the painting work begins.
Payment methods: You can choose to pay by advance invoice or pay for the painting work in our online store, which offers secure online banking and card payment options.
-Invoicing: An email or online invoice will be sent when the painting work begins.
-Online store: Payment is made at the time of ordering. The online store uses secure and safe payment methods (credit and debit cards, ApplePay, Google Pay, Klarna). The payment processor is Squarespace Payments.
-Payment link: You can also pay using the payment link we send you, using the online store payment methods.
The painted helmet will be returned to the customer once the payment has been credited to our account in full.
5. DELIVERY METHOD AND DELIVERY COSTS
The helmet will be returned as a parcel, unless otherwise agreed. Delivery costs depend on the size and weight of the parcel and the recipient's address. When the parcel is ready for collection, you will receive a notification of the arrival of your order. Depending on the transport company, the parcel must be collected within 5-7 days of its arrival.
Damaged packages
If you can see that a package has been clearly damaged during transport, make a note of this at the collection point when you pick up the package. Notify the sender and the transport company of the damage as soon as possible, but no later than 7 days after receipt. Keep all packaging materials and damaged goods for inspection. Take photos of the damaged contents and packaging.
6. WARRANTY
We always strive for the highest standard of painting and use only high-quality products. The painting work is covered by a 6-month warranty, during which any defects in the quality of the painting work will be repaired free of charge. If you notice any problems with the quality of the painting work, such as paint peeling, please contact our customer service immediately.
Note: The warranty does not cover damage to the paint surface caused by normal wear and tear, scratches, and dents. The warranty also does not cover damage to the paint surface caused by improper cleaning or storage of the helmet. Always handle the helmet with care and clean it according to the care instructions provided to keep the paint in good condition. Store the helmet in a well-ventilated, dry place away from sunlight.
7. PROBLEMS AND FEEDBACK
Notification of incorrect delivery or defective product must be made within 14 days of receipt of the product.
Customer feedback, inquiries, and contacts can be sent to customer service email.
We reserve the right to change our delivery terms. Before placing an order, the customer must familiarize themselves with the delivery terms in force at the time. Paint it Black treats all customer information as strictly confidential.
8. CANCELLATION AND RETURN POLICY
UNMODIFIED PRODUCTS PURCHASED FROM THE ONLINE STORE: Consumer customers have the right to cancel their order in whole or in part within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving any reason. The period ends 14 days after the date on which you or an authorized third party received the order. The right of withdrawal applies to products in their original condition and unused. Any product packaging must be unopened.
Please follow these steps if you wish to return products or cancel your order:
Always notify us first of your decision to cancel your order in whole or in part by emailing us.
You must return the goods to us without delay and no later than 14 days after submitting your cancellation notice, carefully packaged. The customer is responsible for taking care of the product they have received and for any reduction in its value up to the full retail price.
The customer is responsible for the costs of returning the products. The purchase price of the canceled products will be refunded to the customer without delay and no later than 14 days after we have received the cancellation notice, provided that the returned goods have arrived at our premises and been found to be in saleable condition. We will refund the payment using the same payment method you used when placing your order.
BOOKING FEE AND DESIGN: You can cancel your design booking before work begins by sending an email, in which case the booking fee will be refunded in the same way it was paid. If the design work has already begun, the reservation fee will not be refunded.
CUSTOM-MADE OR MODIFIED PRODUCTS: The right of cancellation or return does not apply to custom-made products that have been modified according to the customer's wishes. However, we do provide a warranty for the quality of the painting work.
UNCOLLECTED PACKAGES: Failure to collect goods does not constitute exercising the right of withdrawal. Unclaimed shipments will be charged for the costs incurred for their return, as well as a €20 handling fee, which will be deducted from any refundable purchase price. New shipping costs will be charged for resending the package.
